INTRODUCTION

 

Day 1.- Salzburg
Arrival in Salzburg, birthplace of composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. We visit the city in the footsteps of Mozart, among others we will know the house where the genius of music was born.
Day 2.- Salzburg - Linz - Melk - Vienna
After breakfast, travel to the St. Florian Monastery with the famous organ "Brucknerorgel" near Linz. Continue to Melk to visit the Benedictine Abbey of Melk, the most representative Baroque monument in Austria. Then Vienna awaits us, the capital of Austria, a city of illustrious composers such as Mozart and Haydn. At night, we can attend a concert at the ostentatious Schönbrunn Castle (not included).
Day 3.- Vienna
In the morning, panoramic tour of the city of Vienna. We will get to know the Opera, the Hofburg Palace, the Heroes' Gate, the Parliament, the Town Hall and the houses of Mozart and Haydn. In this tour of the city, the life of Mozart and Haydn will be the central theme, we will also visit their houses. During his 10 years in Vienna, Mozart achieved his greatest creativity. Haydn also spent several years in the Austrian capital and composed some of his great works here, such as the oratorio "The Creation".
Day 4.- Vienna - Hainburg - Rohrau - Eisenstadt - Vienna
Today we travel to Hainburg, where Joseph Haydn went to elementary school and took his first music lessons. We visited the exhibition about his childhood and youth (visits are possible from June to December). Continue to Rohrau to Haydn's birthplace. In Eisenstadt, our next destination, Joseph Haydn lived for many years as conductor of the Esterházy family, in whose name he composed many of his works. During the walk through Eisenstadt we will visit the house of Haydn, the Church of the Mountain, the Church of the Franciscans in the old town, the Town Hall and the Pest Column.
Day 5.- Vienna - Brno - Prague
After breakfast travel to Brno, nicknamed "the younger sister of Prague". The metropolis of Moravia is the second largest city in the Czech Republic. We will continue to Prague, the so-called "city of a hundred towers", where Mozart spent the most successful years of his life. We have the possibility to attend a concert at Villa Bertramka (not included).
Day 6.- Prague
In the morning we will approach to the life of Mozart in Prague. In the old part of the city we will visit the Powder Tower and the Old Square, dominated by the Town Hall with its Astronomical Clock, as well as the impressive churches of Tyn and San Nicolás. We will pass by the Charles Bridge, where we will appreciate a gallery of Baroque statues with a beautiful view of the Prague Castle. Now it is understood why Mozart dedicated an entire symphony to this city!
